‘Thank U, Next’ lands straight in at number one on the Singles Chart, while A Star Is Born continues to dominate the Album Chart
After its surprise release last Saturday, ‘Thank U, Next’ becomes Ariana Grande’s second number one single this year, and third of her career. ‘No Tears Left To Cry’, hit top spot earlier this year. She previously topped the chart in 2014 with ‘Problem’ featuring Iggy Azalea.
Slipping a spot, is last week’s number one, ‘Shallow’ from the A Star Is Born soundtrack. Little Mix rise to number three with ‘Woman Like Me’ featuring Nicki Minaj. ‘Always Remember Us This Way’ is the second track from the A Star Is Born soundtrack in the top five, it sits at number four.
Halsey scores her first Top 10 song as a lead artist with ‘Without Me’, its vaults eight positions to Number nine, while ‘Sweet’ By Psycho by Ava Max rises into the Top 20 to number 16. Dua Lipa and Blackpink's ‘Kiss And Make Up’ also lifts into the Top 20 for the first time, hitting a new high of 18.
Zara Larsson jumps nine places to 24 with ‘Ruin My Life’, and Benny Blanco & Calvin Harris arrive with a new entry ‘I Found You’ at 31. Just behind them are Ellie Goulding, Diplo and Swae Lee with ‘Close To You’, which climbs eight positions to 32.
Over on the Albums Chart, A Star Is Born continues to outsell its competition by nearly three copies to one, as it spends its fifth week on top.

Elsewhere in the Top five, rising three places to a new peak of Number two is the Bohemian Rhapsody OST from Queen.
More Blood, More Tracks - The Bootleg Series Vol. 14 from Bob Dylan is the week's highest new entry at Number eight, while Lighthouse Keeper, the first album in 12 years from singer-songwriter Don Mescall, lands at 10 and is the best-selling independent album of the week.
Following their gigs at Dublin's 3Arena, U2's former chart-topping album Songs of Experience returns to the Top 50, it’s at number 31, while Barbra Streisand’s new studio album Walls is new at 34.
With Christmas fast approaching, Michael Buble's Christmas is back in the Top 50 for the first time this year at Number 40.
