It's nearly one year since 22 people were killed at an Ariana Grande concert in the Manchester Arena by a suicide bomber, and the star has finally spoken about the events.
On May 22nd 2017 yet more devastation stuck when a suicide bomber detonated a homemade bomb in the lobby area of a venue where Florida born pop star Ariana Grande was performing a concert. 22 people were killed, a large majority of whom were young girls and hundreds were injured.
Shortly after the event, Ariana reached out to her celebrity pals and hosted the One Love Manchester benefit concert which raised $23 million for the families effected. Since then, she has withdrawn herself from the media and avoiding talking about it, whilst recording her forthcoming album 'Sweetener'. The only time she has been asked about it was recently on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but now she has done a full interview with Time magazine where she opens up about her feelings on the event.
In the emotional interview Grande says "There are so many people who have suffered such loss and pain, the processing part is going to take forever." The interviewer noted that she is sobbing throughout the entire conversation. Grande added; "I don’t want to give it that much power. Something so negative. It’s the absolute worst of humanity. That’s why I did my best to react the way I did. The last thing I would ever want is for my fans to see something like that happen and think it won."
"Music is supposed to be the safest thing in the world. I think that’s why it’s still so heavy on my heart every single day. I wish there was more that I could fix. You think with time it’ll become easier to talk about. Or you’ll make peace with it. But every day I wait for that peace to come and it’s still very painful."

The bee has always been a symbol of Manchester, to represent the hard working citizens during the Industrial Revolution, they were the worker bee. Since the attack, Ariana Grande and a lot of the members of her crew have got bee tattoos and now it's dotted throughout her new album including at the end of the video for 'No Tears Left To Cry,' which you can watch below.
