The 20-year-old BRIT award winner from West London first began making music when she downloaded Garageband when she was 14 making beats to accompany her poetry.
Following the success of her 2021 debut album Collapsed in Sunbeams, Arlo Parks has released the official music video for her song 'Too Good.' The video weaves her poetic lyricism with stunning visuals directed by the duo Bedroom.
Parks described the process of writing 'Too Good' as a "whirlwind." She says that "it feels truly [her]" because of the little details sprinkled into the song from the writing and production process. Her talent and poetic style in songs like 'Too Good' and others from her debut album have garnered the attention of artists like Billie Eilish, Phoebe Bridgers, and Florence Welch, who have all praised her work.
Collapsed in Sunbeams has received worldwide acclaim, reaching the top 3 of the UK album charts. Parks has received multiple nominations and awards for her music, including a nomination for Album of the Year at the BRITS, nominations at the 2021 AIM Awards, and a nomination for the BET Awards' Breakthrough International Act. In 2020 and 2021, Parks won the BBC Introducing Artist of the Year Award and the BRITS Best New Artist award, respectively.
Recently, more tour dates were added to her upcoming 2021 UK tour. Her original tour announcement sold out in an under an hour, but the additional dates at independent record stores around the UK are now available. She will be performing at Electric Picnic music festival in Dublin on September 5.
