For the RISING concert, all proceeds will go towards Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, evacuating families and MSF, which proves medical and humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Artists of Ireland for Palestine have today announced more acts for their upcoming RISING benefit concert this weekend.
Hosted by Laura Murphy, RISING takes places on Easter Sunday at Whelan's. All proceeds will go towards the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, evacuating families and civilians and MSF, which provides medical and humanitarian aid in Gaza.
Joining the already dazzling line-up, curated by Seán Mulrooney, that includes renowned Palestine advocate Daniel Maté, Pól Brennan from Clannad, Guud Grief and Mulrooney himself are three of Ireland’s most unique and powerful voices.
Growler (aka Dee Mulrooney) is a drum-hammering, "shamanic vulva" known for her earnest commentary on taboo subjects such as sexuality, religion, sexual violence and war. Following her critically-lauded set at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Growler's set is not to be missed.
Aron Hegarty is one half of the famed storytelling duo Candlelit Tales. Having just returned from his tour of the US and Canada - where he delivered a rousing, now-viral speech on St. Patrick's Day - Hegarty's set will seek to excavate mythology and folklore for morsels that may offer solidarity, strength and inspiration for Palestinian advocates, activists and people.

Berlin-based musician and producer Nina Hynes will bring her enthralling, spellbinding voice with her unique talent for connecting with the audience and facilitating their involvement in the set.
Also performing will be Palestinian artist Aziz Bushark, Encoded Voices, Fancy Dan and Stefan Murphy.
Vision Éire are a collective of artists, musicians, poets and storytellers who will be doing live art on the night and offering art prints for sale.
There are a limited number of tickets remaining for this concert, which is expected to sell out. For tickets, please see here.
