On the other hand, Four Tet’s Kieran Hebden is flying a flag for die-hard experimentalists everywhere. Lifted from his masterpiece album, ‘Rounds’, ‘As Serious As Your Life’ is a splendid, DJ Shadow-esque oeuvre. Hebden may be taking electronic music to places it never knew it could go, yet Four Tet is not as clinical or as sexless as your average electro experience. ‘As Serious As Your Life’ is brimming with personality, charm, and will no doubt appeal to those outside the circle of indulgent electro purists.
