"We are pulling out all stops to make it an unforgettable night for all our fans," says Aslan frontman Christy Dignam.
As part of their 40 Years 40 Gigs tour in 2022, Aslan will celebrate their 40th year as a band with a major show at the 3Arena in Dublin in September.
The massive Dublin band have released four No. 1 albums throughout their storied career, including their debut Feel No Shame which celebrated its own 30th anniversary back in 2018.
Although the group played the venue before when it was known as The Point, this will be their first gig since it's re-opening as the 3Arena.
"It’s hard to believe that when we formed Aslan back in 1982, we said we would give it a year, and here we are 40 years later about to play the prestigious venue that is 3Arena for the first time and embark on our 40 Years 40 Gigs tour," lead singer Christy Dignam said.
"The gig in the 3Arena will be the gig of our career and we are pulling out all stops to make it an unforgettable night for all our fans who have supported us and kept us going through the good and bad times."

Dignam recently released his first solo album The Man Who Stayed Alive in October.
Speaking to Hot Press around the time of the release about how he'd like Aslan to be remembered in the future, he said "You know, 'Crazy World' wouldn't even be in my top 30 Aslan songs. We've had songs a thousand times better and they'll never be fucking heard. So the one wish I have is that when I die people will look at our back catalogue properly and think, "Jesus! This band were fucking good."
Tickets for Aslan at the 3Arena go on sale for €49.95 on Thursday, December 9 at 9 am from Ticketmaster.
