The band are also reportedly working on a new album.
Aslan will release their first single with Lee Tomkins, titled 'Hear Your Call,’ out March 7.
This marks the first release from the band since the death of lead singer Christy Dignam in June of 2023. Tomkins was announced as Aslan’s new frontman in February of last year.
"I showed the idea of the song to the lads and they really liked it so the four of us worked on it and made it what it is today,” said Tomkins. "It’s a song about going through hard times and having self-doubt but finding strength in numbers.”
The group recorded 'Hear Your Call’ at Jealoustown Studios, a space they’ve worked in frequently.
"It was important that for our first recording with Lee that it happened somewhere where we all felt comfortable,” said guitarist Billy McGuinness. "After all we have been through, dealing with our own grief in our own way, it feels amazing that something positive is happening, releasing our first single on our new journey.”

Aslan are currently in the process of creating a new album, with ‘Hear Your Call’ serving as an introduction to their future project. According to McGuinness, the song was such a success for the band that they’ve decided to release an EP with four different mixes of it.
While the band embraces Tomkins with open arms, drummer Alan Downey reflects on the loss of Dignam.
"It did feel strange recording the song without Christy but we all stuck together and as always we feel he is with us anyway,” he said. "It's nice to have Lee on board, for Aslan to continue on to its next chapter."
