"Thank you for everything you were, on this earth," AURORA wrote in her tribute to the Cork musician. "Thank you for touching it with your kindness. Thank you for lending it your music. You will be remembered. And somehow you will exist forever."
Tributes for Eoin French of Talos have continued to pour in from across the Irish music community and beyond this week – following the tragic news of the Cork musician's death on Sunday, August 11, following a short illness.
Among those who have shared tributes to the Cork musician in recent days is Norwegian star AURORA.
"I remember the first time we met, in 2019," she wrote on her Instagram Stories. "We toured North America together. You were so sweet, and so good to the people around you.
"I remember telling you, I believed your voice was healing. And you proved just so, with the way you could fill a room with light after finishing a song.
"I've seen strangers open up to your music," she added. "I've seen them fall in love with your being. I've felt the rivers and hills of your home in it. I've seen my sister cry to it. And I forgot to ever tell you, how much you've meant to her too.

"I wish our paths had crossed once more this June. It would've been so wonderful to give you a hug. I thought we had more time. My heart aches knowing we won't meet again in this life. But I know I will see you in the next.
"Thank you for everything you were, on this earth, " the post continues. "Thank you for touching it with your kindness. Thank you for lending it your music. You will be remembered. And somehow you will exist forever."
In another Instagram Story, AURORA encouraged her fans to listen to Talos' track 'See Me', "in his memory."
Sam McNicholl, the owner of West Cork music venue Connolly's of Leap, and a former member of Talos' band, has also shared his reflections on Eoin's phenomenal art, life and legacy.
"Eoin was concise, measured, detailed, and meticulous—everything I am not," Sam wrote. "He was everything I aspired to be. That’s what true friends are: they lift you when you’re down and pull you back when you’re drifting too far.
"Eoin was always a voice of reason, guiding me through so much of my journey. We started as bandmates and ended up as brothers.

"This year, Eoin was dealt the hardest hand—cancer. It was an unimaginable weight to bear, yet he faced it with incredible strength. Even in his final days, he continued to teach us all, leaving lessons I’ll be unpacking for the rest of my life.
"Eoin French was here, and he made a remarkable impact on this world. Though his time was cut short, his influence was seismic, and its reverberations will be felt for a long time to come..."
"I really do think that his music will live for many many years to come," Sam's post concludes. "I am nowhere near as good with words and that dude was, I just want to let the world that my friend was incredible. He lived ferociously. He was the best boy. I will miss him very much. I will miss him very very much."
Peadar Ó Goill, who worked closed with Talos on the art direction and visuals surrounding the 2022 album Dear Chaos, shared his own moving tribute to Eoin.
"Frenchie is the most important human I’ve ever been fortunate enough to orbit," he wrote online. "He inspired me like no other. He pushed me like no other..."

"He is written on me," he added. "On everything I have ever done and will ever do...
"Oiche mhaith a mhac."
The team behind the Sounds From A Safe Harbour festival also shared a tribute, thanking Eoin "for everything."
"Eoin was, and always will be, part of the fabric of SFSH," their post reads. "We will struggle but eventually settle into the reality that he is all around us, within us, guiding us. Eoin and his journey provide a new lens through which to view life – grab it and run with it. Do only the things that feel good, the things that nurture you. Life is too short for anything else.
"We will always love you, Eoin. You will always be a part of us..."
