The ex-Powderfinger frontman will play Whelans, Dublin in December.
Australia has produced more than its share of outstanding rock'n'roll, and the musical ventures Bernard Fanning have been a part of are no exception.
He made his name with Powderfinger before embarking on a well-regarded solo career, and he's coming to Whelans, Dublin on December 6 in support of his lates opus Brutal Dawn, a companion to 2016's Civil Dusk.
'Isn't It A Pity" is the first song that's been released, and it's a cracker:
The process of creation for the two albums was apparently fertile, and it helped that his manager and label boss encouraged him to release his songs in that format.

Fanning says that the double concept release idea was "about as off trend as you can get", but who needs trends when you have strong material, a wise, road-worn voice and tour dates lined up?
The album's production was handled by veteran Nick DiDia (of Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, and Pearl Jam records).
Tickets are priced at €26 and go on sale on July 12 from Ticketmaster and "other usual outlets" according to the press release.
