In aid of the Children's Relief Fund for Palestine, a group of musicians have come together to put on a charity gig in Ballina on December 2nd.
A group of musicians have decided to come together to put on a gig in Tarbh 47 Ballina on Saturday December 2nd to raise money for the Palestinian Children's Relief fund.
The line up includes three acts, Nanorisk Akatsuki, a one man band playing drums, John of the Apocalypse, a primitive alt folk band and Magnetic Monopole.
Nanorisk Akatsuki is a one man band playing drums with a twist, his drum kit control a modular synthesiser. As a result of this nifty bit of tech, Akatsuki's work sounds like a full band. "Nanorisk Akatsuki bridges the gap between noise, unpredictable punk and acid-infused electro-pop.

John of the Apocalypse are a folk group featuring local legends Patrick "Hally" Hallinan and Stephen Dwane, but since then the pair have filled out to a 4 piece so maybe expect more rock than folk...

International inter-county superstars Magnetic Monopole play grungy stoner rock, which fans of the like of Kyuss and Alice In Chains will be in for a treat. Magnetic Monopole will be saying goodbye to their bass player Sid Murphy after this gig in aid of The Palestinian Children's Fund so it promises to be one not to miss.
