The 'There She Goes' guitarist returns to Ireland for a live performance
Guitarist Barry Sutton will perform in The Grand Social September 29.
Best known for his role as lead guitarist in Liverpool's The La's during their rise to popularity, the musician's performance will feature melodies from his varied career.
Sutton's music career began nearly a decade before he laid down the guitar riff for the La's hit song 'There She Goes.' The singer/songwriter has been in several mixed-genre indie bands beginning in 1981.
His notable projects include Marshmallow Overcoat (1983-1987) Kung Fu (1995-2001) and Mirrorball (2004-2008). In the present day, Sutton is lead singer and guitarist in his band Beatnik Hurricane.

Barry's official blog states that "Barry loves playing in Ireland, and you better stock up with whiskey and Guinness."
The Grand Social event is hosted by the Alternative Sunday Social Club. Launched in 2015, the club has featured artists such as Rocky DeValera (front man of legendary Dublin bands The Gravediggers and The Rhythm Kings), The Dubtones, The Outcasts.
