Oh Yeah Music Centre have announced 15 young people selected for the 2023 mentoring programme Volume Control.
The youth department at Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast, have announced their brand new Volume Control 2023 events team.
Volume Control is an award-winning youth events and industry enterprise mentoring programme, in which once a year, 15 young people aged 14-19 are recruited to help in developing, planning, and delivering their own live music events. This is provided through mentoring and a dedicated space that will give them the opportunity, skills and confidence to realise their full potential.
The programme is an excellent opportunity for those with a real love for local music and gig promotion who would also like to pursue their interests of working in the events or music industries.
"Volume Control is fast becoming Belfast’s go-to for live youth music events and we go from strength to strength with every gig," said Caoimhe O'Connell, Youth Engagement Officer at Oh Yeah Music Centre. "The new team have hit the ground running and are already planning ahead for a summer of top quality events, workshops and live music, ensuring 2023 is going to be fantastic for the entire Volume Control community."
The team of talented youths have already booked their first gig, looking after the matinee show for Cora Harkin, Susie Blue, Wynona Bleach and Virgins on Saturday, May 27th.
The brand continues to grow exponentially year after year, and is now ideally positioned to be the first name that comes to mind when bands, young people and creative professionals think of when live music for under 18s is mentioned.
