Belters Only celebrate as 'Make Me Feel Good' is certified Diamond in Ireland
'Make Me Feel Good' by Belters Only and featuring Choice Music Prize nominee Jazzy, has today been certified Diamond in Ireland- a first for an Irish dance track.
A diamond certification, is the highest certification a track can receive-above gold and platinum.
In an emotional post on Instagram the pair behind Belters only; Robbie G and Bisset, poured their hearts out saying: "We are beyond grateful and blessed to be the first Irish dance act to EVER go diamond in our home country".
Belters only also acknowledged that some might critique the dance music genre, but that their platinum record cemeneted the genres legitimacy in Ireland: "Call it cheesy, call it overplayed, discredit it cause it’s a sample, pass comments on how we look / carry ourselves (we’ve heard it all at this stage believe us) this is the song that not only kickstarted our movement, it’s also changed our lives & put a lot of our own people in life changing positions".
Speaking on the phenomenal achievement not only for themselves but for the wider dance music scene in Ireland, the Dublin duo continued: We couldn’t be more proud of the knock on effect it had within the Irish dance scene as well, as it helped shine a light on all the upcoming talent this country has to offer".
