Co. Antrim raised and (mostly) Nashville based troubadour Ben Glover is celebrating the release of his stunning seventh solo album Shorebound with a selection of some very special homecoming shows at the end of the month. Hailed by this very publication as one of the finest songwriters around and currently at the peak of his powers, the multi-award winning musician plays McGrory's in Culdaff on May 26, the Town Hall in Larne on May 31, the Black Box in Belfast on June 1 and the Dalraida Festival in Glenarm on July 15 as part of his massive European tour.

Marking ten years since the release of his first solo record The Week The Clocks Changed the prolific tunesmith, who also co-writes/performs with country and Americana-infused super group the Orphan Brigade, Glover says of his latest album:

“It felt time to go bigger sonically. I’m a believer in cycles and 2018 will mark ten years since I released my first album, so it feels very much that this album is a major turning point in a cycle. Shorebound is an acknowledgement of where I am and a celebration of the people who I’ve gotten here with.”

Featuring appearances and collaborations from long-time friends, allies and bandmates such as Gretchen Peters, Neilson Hubbard, Ricky Ross, Kim Richey, Angel Snow, Robert Vincent, Amy Speace, Anthony Toner, Malojian and Matt McGinn, Shorebound certainly has the star power to match the skilful songwriting.
