Ben Reel releases a new track to spread the message of peace and hope across the globe.
‘Inshallah Shalom’ is the title of Ben Reel’s newest track that was released on January 12. The title breaks down into two parts, "Inshallah" which means “God willing” in Arabic and "Shalom" which is Hebrew for “peace.”
Reel will be at Dublin’s Arthur’s Blues and Jazz Club on Friday, February 23 where he will perform this track.
The track has had a great response from DJ’s worldwide and has played on RTÉ Radio 1 four times. The song is meant to send a message of peace and hope across the globe in a time where that message appears to be lost.
The song had also been picked up by Fiachna O’Braonain on radio shows Late Date and The John Creedon Show.
“Special thanks to Fiachna O’Braonain (Hothouse Flowers member) who really picked up on its message of peace and hope,” Reel said. “I was told by people while playing this song live on tour in Germany last week that it needs to be heard internationally. I am asking all you good folks DJ’s out there to help me spread this message of peace.”

The song was originally written 15 years ago in collaboration with Reels dear friends Rainbow George Weiss (1941 - 2022) and Paul Weatherhead aka Whipper (1974 - 2019). Weiss had written the lyrics which Reel then tweaked to fit the music arrangement.
Weatherhead head had added some bass, psychedelic flute and DJ scratching samples in 2018. For years it lay dormant amongst the various files on Reels’ hard drive until the war in the Middle East between Israel and Palestine.
"The music is both powerful and spiritual and the lyrics carry a hopeful message. The song has a hypnotic vibe to it as the chorus chats a mantra for peace which I wish can help send out a healing energy to the world in these troubled times," Reel states.
The song was written in honour and memory of both Rainbow George Weiss and Paul Weatherhead aka Whipper. You can now stream ‘Inshallah Shalom’ across all platforms. Tickets for his upcoming show in Dublin are now available.
