English singer-songwriter Benjamin Francis Leftwich has announced a headline show at Whelans, Dublin, to take place on 13th February 2022.
Leftwich will release his much-anticipated fourth studio album To Carry A Whale on 19th June 2021.
So far, the musician has released the mesmerising 'Cherry In Tacoma’ and ‘Oh My God Please’ as singles from the exciting project.
Started in Benjamin’s Tottenham house, it continued to Urchin Studios in Hackney and then travelled to Niagara. When back to Southend Studio in London, the musician was joined by Sam Duckworth (AKA Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly) who shared a role of the record producer together with Eg White (Adele, Florence & The Machine, Sam Smith).
To Carry A Whale is the first album Leftwich recorded entirely sober, marking a significant milestone, marking a significant milestone on his journey towards a positive personal headspace. After spending almost one month in rehab in January 2018, he is determined to maintain this state for good.
"It’s an observation on what it’s like to be a sober alcoholic addict a couple of years in," Leftwich reveals of the LP.

"A whale is heavy to carry. It’s gonna hurt you to carry it. But it’s also beautiful, and it’s a miracle to be able to carry all that at all."
Leftwich released his first album, Last Smoke Before the Snowstorm, in 2011 before releasing the follow-up, After the Rain, on 19th August 2016. He sold 180,000 copies of his 2019 album Gratitude, which has 500 million streams to date.
