They also share their new single ‘Anne Bonny’, out now.
Beoga have announced a gig in Dublin's Vicar Street for November 22, as well as four additional November dates in Limerick City (November 13), Cork (November 14), Galway (November 15) and Belfast (November 22).
They also shared their new single ‘Anne Bonny’, hailing from their upcoming record Phases, set to come out on June 6.
The announcements follow Boega’s 4-year break from touring and releasing music – their latest offering ‘Anne Bonny’ is written in the traditional style combined with Beoga’s signature contemporary flavour.
It marks the second taster from Phases, following ‘Shore Road Punk’ last month. The forthcoming album is said to see the band revisit their traditional roots and original, classic soundscape, whilst continuing to explore new ground in production and instrumentation.

Niamh Dunne of Beoga comments: “There is a wealth of incredible Irish musicians on the scene right now and it’s a very exciting time for traditional Irish music. It’s really great to be back making new music and adding our own voice to the cannon, and I really feel like this album is a reflection of who we are as a band, and an amalgamation of all the different influences we have encountered and explored in the last 2 decades.
“Anne Bonny was an Irish pirate who sailed the high seas in the 1700s and is one of the few female pirates recorded in history. I’m always drawn to singing strong female characters into being and we really leaned into the tradition to write this one. She was a badass!”
Tickets for Beoga’s Irish tour go on sale this Friday here.
