Beyoncé's label and publisher have contested the use of the singer's song in a Trump campaign video.
Beyoncé has barred Donald Trump from using her song 'Freedom' for his campaign after his spokesperson, Steven Cheung used the song in a video of Trump walking off a plane in Michigan.
The singer's label and publisher issued a cease-and-desist to the former president, and Cheung's video has since been deleted.
'Freedom' is being used in an official capacity by Trump's rival Kamala Harris, featuring in a campaign ad at the Democratic National Convention and across various candidate campaigning events.

Beyoncé has approved the use of her song by the Harris campaign but has not officially endorsed any candidate for the 2024 election.
Other artists such as Adele, Rolling Stones, and others blocked Trump's usage of their music. After Trump used Céline Dion's song "My Heart Will Go On" in a Montana rally, the singer's team released a statement saying "In no way is this use authorised, and Celine Dion does not endorse this or any similar use. ...And really, THAT song?"
