Big Sur

Perhaps it’s the breathy vocal, the smiley-faced poppy melody, the piano rhythm, the dum-dum-dum bassline, the organs or the picked guitars, but to these ears, ‘Big Sur’ sounds remarkably similar to every other Thrills record I’ve ever heard. It may have worked well the first couple of times round, but this one trick pony’s party piece is getting kind of old.
