The album, released less than 10 days ago, has already climbed its way to the No.1 spot.
Pop superstar Billie Eilish’s third released album Hit Me Hard And Soft has debuted at No.1 on the Official Irish Albums chart.
Her lead single from the album ‘Lunch’ is currently in fifth spot on the Official Irish Singles chart, followed closely behind with ‘Chihiro’ in seventh.
Hit Me Hard And Soft was released on May 17 with no advanced singles or videos, but the singer has since released a music video for ‘Lunch’ and a performance video for each song on the album on her Youtube.
The album was written by Billie Eilish and FINNEAS, her brother and long-time collaborator, who also produced the album.
Thematically, the record centres around love, heartbreak, questions of toxic beauty standards and the pressures of global stardom.

According to the singer's website, Hit Me Hard and Soft is meant to be listened to chronologically, so it “hits you hard and soft,” she wrote, “both lyrically and sonically, while bending genres and defying trends along the way.”
The album's release came hand in hand with the announcement of a world tour, which concludes in Dublin’s 3Arena on 26 and 27 July.
Tickets for her performances in Dublin start from €73.90 and can be bought here.
