In a recent interview, Billie Eilish talks sexualisation and body image – "I didn’t want people to have access to my body, even visually. I wasn’t strong enough and secure enough to show it."
While speaking to Variety, Billie Eilish explained how she has faced an alarming amount of sexualisation concerning her body throughout her career.
The now 21-year-old got her start when she was only 13 years old with her hit 'ocean eyes'.
Throughout her teens and into her early adult life the singer chose to present herself in baggy clothes to avoid sexualisation. This only led to questions about how her body looked under the clothes.
"I wasn’t trying to have people not sexualise me," she told Variety. "But I didn’t want people to have access to my body, even visually. I wasn’t strong enough and secure enough to show it. If I had shown it at that time, I would have been completely devastated if people had said anything."
She continued: "I have big boobs. I’ve had big boobs since I was nine years old, and that’s just the way I am. That’s how I look. You wear something that’s at all revealing, and everyone’s like, ‘Oh, but you didn’t want people to sexualise you?’"

To those who attempt to tear her down, Eilish says: “You can suck my a**! I’m literally a being that is sexual sometimes. Fuck you!”
The 'Happier Than Ever' singer also commented on the double standards that are held between women's and men's bodies – "Nobody ever says a thing about men’s bodies. If you’re muscular, cool. If you’re not, cool. If you’re rail thin, cool. If you have a dad bod, cool. If you’re pudgy, love it! Everybody’s happy with it. You know why? Because girls are nice. They don’t give a fuck because we see people for who they are!"
Lil Yachty recently mentioned Eilish's body on a recent track he features on. He raps on Drake‘s track ‘Another Late Night’ – featured on Drake’s eighth studio album ‘For All The Dogs‘ – where he raps: "She had big t*ts like Billie Eilish but she couldn’t sing (Drip)."
When asked about the track Eilish explained: "I think it’s fun! I’m flattered! Yachty is my friend. Drake is my friend. It’s a joke. I do have big t*ts. I love it," she told Variety.
