A music and lyric video will accompany the song upon its release.
The legendary Billy Joel is set to share his first new single in decades, ‘Turn The Lights Back on’, out February 1, 2024, via Columbia Records.
A statement touted the track as a “classic Billy Joel-style tune, embodying the hallmarks of his signature sound and ushering in the next chapter of his story.”
After a 17 year hiatus from recording, the iconic songwriter began teasing new music on Tik Tok. Last month, he launched an official account on the platform, sharing footage of him discussing new music on stage.
“I have good news, I have bad news, I’ll give you the bad news first,” he said at the time. “We don’t have anything new to play for you. The good news is you don’t have to sit through something you have no idea what it is! Although … we got a little something we’re working on you might hear some time.”
