Bishop Briggs Releases New Alt-Pop Single, ‘Baby’
This is the first music from Briggs since her debut LP, Church of Scars, released earlier this year.
Fans and critics have noticed the change in sound between ‘Baby’ and the other music released by the British singer-songwriter.
When Bishop Briggs, also known as Sarah Grace McLaughlin, wrote the song alongside producer John Hill, she assumed she was "never going to release" it because of her image.
Briggs told Billboard: “I'm very drawn to darkness, so the thought of releasing a song that wasn't so heavy didn't seem in character.” She went on to explain the meaning behind the song. "In private, women talk about their sex lives all the time. My whole goal is that men and women are equal, and in the music world, part of making that a reality is all of us doing the same thing, in terms of what we are allowed to share."
‘Baby’ is available to stream on Spotify now.
