‘Hellfire’ is available to pre-order from the black midi website now.
English experimental-rock band black midi have announced that their new album Hellfire will drop on July 15.
The band released a music video for the album’s first single, 'Welcome to Hell,' directed by Gustaf Holtenäs, featuring psychedelic animated visuals.
Hellfire is produced by Marta Salogni, co-produced by Max ‘Sizzle’ Goulding and engineered by Dani Bennett Spragg.
This marks the band’s third studio album since their formation in 2017 and follows Schlagenheim released in 2019 and Cavalcade released in 2021.
The band played in Vicar Street in November of last year following the release of Cavalcade in May.

black midi consists of singer and guitarist Geordie Greep, bassist Cameron Picton and drummer Morgan Simpson.
“Almost everyone depicted is a kind of scumbag. Almost everything I write is from a true thing, something I experienced and exaggerated and wrote down,” vocalist Geordie Greep said.
“I don’t believe in Hell, but all that old world folly is great for songs, I’ve always loved movies and anything else with a depiction of Hell.
“Dante’s Inferno. When Homer goes to Hell in The Simpsons. There’s a robot Hell in Futurama. Isaac Bashevis Singer, a Jewish writer who portrays a Satan interfering in people’s lives. There’s loads!” he added.
