Tickets for the Irish new wave band's Dublin gig go on sale this Thursday at 9am.
Since reforming in 2013, The Blades have played sold out gigs in Dublin's Olympia Theatre and performed their classic single ‘Downmarket’ on The Late Late Show. Now, The Blades have announced a headline Christmas show at Dublin's Academy.
Spurred on by the positive response to their Smalltime EP in 2015, the band then entered the studio to recorded their long awaited follow-up to their debut album, Last Man in Europe, after an incredible 32 years.
The resulting album, 2016's Modernised, contained 12 new songs penned by frontman Paul Cleary. Take a long at Hot Press's review of the album here.
The Blades bring their seven-piece band to the Academy on Saturday December 14, and guarantee a night of raw energy coupled with soulful renditions of their back catalogue.
