Blink-182 announced the postponement of multiple Irish shows due to a "urgent family matter" forcing Barker to travel back to the states.
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker shared an update on the "urgent family matter" that caused the pop-punk legends to postpone their Irish dates earlier this week. The band was set to perform shows in Glasgow, Belfast and Dublin, but the shows did not go ahead without Barker.
As was disclosed in a social media post, Barker's wife Kourtney Kardashian had to undergo emergency fetal surgery in order to save their baby.
"God is great. I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well," he said in a post to Twitter Wednesday evening. "I want to say thank you for all the support. Tour resumes Friday."

"I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock," wrote Kardashian in an emotional post to Instagram, confirming that both she and her baby were alright.
"I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant," she continued. "Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing."

Earlier this year, 44-year-old Kardashian had announced she was pregnant with her and Barker's first child by holding up a sign at a Blink concert.
As of now, no information has been shared on when the band will postpone the highly anticipated shows. They shared that the information would be provided to ticket holders as soon as the information was available, which looks to be soon as no refund details for ticket holders have been released.
The postponed shows were set to be the first time the band returned to the UK and Ireland since the return of guitarist Tom DeLonge to its lineup. Blink-182 is also gearing up to release new music very shortly, the new album is apparently due at any moment. Delonge claimed that the record is the "best album we’ve ever made" and will be the first full-length release since the band's original lineup reunion last year.
