Bob Dylan has announced a string of shows across the UK this November, including a three night stint at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
The ten-date tour consists of concerts in Edinburgh, Wolverhampton, Bournemouth, Liverpool and Nottingham. He has also announced European dates, with shows in Czechia, Germany, France, Belgium and Luxembourg.
Much like the legendary singer-songwriter’s Dublin shows in 2022, the gigs will be phone free, with punters asked to put their phones in a Yondr pouch which locks automatically when inside the venue.
London’s Royal Albert Hall holds a special place in the singer’s canon, with a 1966 live album entitled The Royal Albert Hall Concert highlighting the heckling Dylan received from audience members for ‘going electric’. Despite its name, the recording was actually taken from his show at the Manchester Free Trade Hall.

He first went electric at the Newport Folk Festival July 1965, following the release of his studio album Bringing It All Back Home in March earlier that year. Some attendees were upset at his use of electric guitars and full live band, citing the decision as a betrayal of the songwriter's folk roots, with others raising complaints over poor sound quality.
In retrospect, his electric period is now among his best-received music by critics and fans alike.
The ten-time Grammy Winner hasn’t revealed plans of any Irish shows for 2024, and is still touring his 2021 album Rough and Rowdy Ways, which he brought to the 3Arena in Dublin two years ago.
In other Dylan news, the 83-year-old announced a massive 27-CD box set documenting his historic return to touring in 1974. The 1974 Live Recordings comprises of 431 tracks (417 of which are previously unreleased) from Dylan’s 1974 tour with The Band.
Tickets for all of the shows will go on sale on Friday, 19 July. For more information, visit Bob Dylan's website here.
