Out in time for Christmas, it's a red, gold and green stunner!
Hot Press is delighted to bring you this exclusive first look at the new limited-edition Bohemian FC away-kit, which goes on general sale in December and reflects the club’s rich musical history.
“Dalymount Park was graced in the 1970s by Thin Lizzy and the Boomtown Rats, in the ‘80s by Bob Marley, Meatloaf and Black Sabbath, and in the ‘90s by Faith No More, Sonic Youth, Ice Cube and the Red Hot Chili Peppers,” reflects Bohs director, Daniel Lambert. “Designed in conjunction with our new kit supplier O’Neills, it gives a nod to the stadium’s special place in the hearts of music, as well as football fans.”
The shirt, which incorporates the red, gold and green Pan-African stripe beloved of Mr. Marley, is modelled here by comedian PJ Gallagher who enthuses: “Always great to see Dublin’s best club find new ways to celebrate their history at the home of Irish football. Was hoping for a Johnny Logan jersey but maybe that’ll be next season. What’s another year?”
You can pre-order now at bohemianfc.com.
Phil Lynott and Bob Marley are already celebrated in mural form at Dalyer – Niall Stokes interviewed the latter on July 6, 1980 before he took to the hallowed turf, with the evidence to be found on hotpress.com.
Also highly recommended is Who Shot The Sheriff?, the new Netflix documentary, which examines the attempt made on his life in December 1976.
