Bombay Bicycle Club preview their forthcoming album with a brand new single.
British indie-rockers Bombay Bicycle Club tease a fifth studio album with their latest single 'I Can Hardly Speak.' The track comes with an announcement of a full UK tour and multiple Irish stops in both Dublin and Belfast, including two sold-out shows at Vicar Street. Everything Else Has Gone Wrong is slated for release via Caroline International/Island Records on January 17th, 2020.
Bombay Bicycle Club have built a wildly successful career on defying genre classification, and 'I Can Hardly Speak' is no exception to the rule. Fusing unusual sounds and textures, the four-piece deftly weave an inventive instrumentation underneath catchy melodies. The song touches on the struggle to express yourself in words, an irony for a group whose signature sound is largely based on multi-instrumentalism and experimentation.
Produced by John Congleton (whose credits include St. Vincent and Sharon Van Etten), 'I Can Hardly Speak' is a treat for fans who are on tinterhooks awaiting the release of Everything Else Has Gone Wrong.
