Retro Drive-in Movies and Encore Live are screening a series of exclusive on-screen concerts in Ireland this summer, featuring some of the world's biggest acts. Bon Jovi will kick off the gigs on May 22nd.
Rock outfit Bon Jovi are set to host their first drive-in concert event, which will be screened at Leopardstown Racecourse Dublin, Slane Castle and Cork Racecourse next month.
Retro Drive-in Movies and Encore Live have partnered up to curate one-night only screenings at selected Irish drive-in venues while the COVID-19 pandemic continues to halt in-person gigs.
Bon Jovi's first drive-in concert will feature all their iconic hits, including 'Livin On A Prayer', 'It's My Life', 'Always' and many more. The outfit have become one of the best-selling bands of all time, and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018. Bon Jovi have sold over 130 million albums worldwide, racked up an extensive catalogue of hits, have toured in over 50 countries for more than 35 million fans in the last decade alone.
The never-before-seen concert will be broadcast at venues around the world, including approximately 300 drive-in and outdoor theatres across the US, Canada and Ireland, and select indoor cinemas around the globe.
Bon Jovi’s show follows the massive success of the Encore Drive-In Nights 2020 series, which hosted global superstars Garth Brooks, Metallica, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Kane Brown and safely entertained nearly a million fans across the US.
As the world begins to reopen from the pandemic, Encore Drive-In Nights is continuing to reinvent live entertainment in a post-COVID world. These shows will hopefully enable fans who live outside of regular touring stops to enjoy concerts by their favourite acts in ways which were never before possible.
