U2's frontman didn't mince words when discussing the next potential president of the United States
Bono appeared on an episode of the political talk show on CBS 'Charlie Rose'.
U2's frontman is known for his social and political activism, so it was only a matter of time before he weighed in on one of the most controversial presidential candidates ever to run for office, Donald Trump.
"Look, America is like the best idea the world ever came up with,” Bono remarked. "But Donald Trump is potentially the worst idea that ever happened to America. Potentially.”
"I think he’s hijacked the party. I think he’s trying to hijack the idea of America. And I think it’s bigger than all of us. I think it’s... this is really dangerous. Wise people of conscience should not let this man turn your country into a casino."
