The Irish band are nominated alongside the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Little Simz, SAULT and Obongjayar for Best Album.
Fontaines D.C. are in with a chance of scoring a prestigious Ivor Novello award at the upcoming ceremony on May 18 – with BoyleSports naming them 5/2 second-favourites to win Best Album with Skinty Fia.
There's strong competition from Arctic Monkeys – the bookies' favourites at 1/2 – who are nominated in the same category with their seventh studio album The Car.
The other nominees for Best Album include Little Simz's NO THANK YOU (6/1), SAULT'S 11 (40/1), and Obongjayar's Some Nights I Dream Of Doors (28/1).
“It’s a very competitive category with Arctic Monkeys in there, but Fontaines D.C. are hitting the right note with punters," Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports, comments. "Plenty think they'll continue their meteoric rise by walking off with this one.”
The Ivor Novello Awards have been presented to UK and Irish songwriters and screen composers since 1956. This year's ceremony is set to take place on May 18 at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London, with Amazon Music broadcasting live performances and interviews.

Released in April 2022, Fontaines D.C.'s lauded third LP was previously named Hot Press' Album of the Year, and scored a nomination at the Choice Music Prize. The success also led to the Irish band being crowned Best International Group at the BRIT Awards earlier this year, as well as Irish Artist of the Year at the Choice Music Prize.
