The release of continues Phoebe Bridgers annual tradition of releasing a charity single in the lead up to the holiday season.
Irish folk duo Ye Vagabonds and 6-time Grammy-nominated boygenius have released a version of the classic ballad ‘The Parting Glass’.
A traditional gathering song that was recorded by Sinéad O'Connor in 2002, the late singer feature’s on the track’s cover art.
All net proceeds from the track will be donated to the Aisling Project at the behest of the Sinéad O’Connor Estate. The Aisling Project is an after-school initiative which works with children and young people in disadvantaged areas of Dublin.
The intervention programme works in five different centres across Ballymun, serving over 150 children from the age of 7 to 18+ years.
Each person who attends Aisling Project receives a hot, nutritious dinner and is supported with completing their homework in a “welcoming, safe, and fun-filled environment.”

“We are absolutely thrilled that boygenius have chosen to give proceeds from the release to Aisling Project,” said Project Leader Mícheál Clear.
“It's an absolute privilege to be associated with the stunningly beautiful homage to Sinéad O'Connor and we can’t possibly thank boygenius enough.”
Boygenius recently picked up six Grammy nominations for their debut album, the record, including the ‘Album Of The Year’ and ‘Record Of The Year’, with an additional nomination for the album in the category of ‘Best Engineered Album, Non Classical.’
