The soundtrack will be available next month in various formats to coincide with the show's final season.
Producer and musician Brian Eno has announced the release of his soundtrack for the Netflix show Top Boy as its final season airs next month. The soundtrack will be available in various formats and will be the first time any of Eno's music from the series will be available to the public, aside from two tracks that were included on his recent compilation album Film Music 1976 - 2020.
Already released today is 'Cutting Room 1', a never before heard piece from the soundtrack. There is one more track on the record that Eno selected to be included, despite the fact it was never heard on the show. The final season of Top Boy will release Thursday 7th September.

The gritty London crime drama Top Boy has been airing since 2011, with Eno attached from the very beginning. Eno said in a press release that he enjoyed being given the freedom with Top Boy to work the way he prefers, by “making music and atmospheres and then giving it to the film makers to use as they saw fit. I try to absorb the idea of what a piece is about and from that I produce a lot of music, and say, ‘Here it is. Use it as you wish.'"

The prolific Eno has worked on other soundtracks in the past, including for Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere and Danny Boyle's Mr Wroe’s Virgins.
Eno's work has always been about exploring what music is and what he can achieve with it. He popularised the term 'ambient music' in the 1970s, virtually defining the genre for itself. He is known for both his solo work and his producer credits for huge pop and rock acts, including U2, Coldplay, David Bowie, the Talking Heads and Fred again...
This autumn, he will embark on his first solo tour in his entire five-decade long career, a European tour with stops in Venice, Berlin, Paris, Utrecht and London. The tour centers around his 2016 album 'The Ship' and will feature songs from across his catalogue.
'Top Boy (Score from the Original Series)' is set to release digitally 1st September, and on CD and vinyl 29th September.
