Bright Eyes will be appearing at the Oxegen festival on Sunday, July 10, hotpress.com has learned.

The brainchild of 24 year-old singer-songwriter Conor Oberst, Bright Eyes kicks off a mammoth tour of the US this week, with Oberst recruiting labelmates The Faint and guitarist Nick Zinner (Yeah Yeah Yeahs) to form his backing band.

At this stage, it seems that Bright Eyes' incarnation at Oxegen will also comprise the five members of The Faint.

Meanwhile, The Futureheads have revealed that they are also bound for Punchestown.

Hot Press caught up with The Futureheads in the middle of their Canadian support tour with Hot Hot Heat.

"We've got tours lined up 'til the middle of October at the moment," said bassist Jaff, "And we must get to over to Dublin soon. I know we're playing the Oxegen festival and we're playing somewhere in Cork in May."
