Bright Eyes announce National Stadium show
The American indie rock outfit will play on Friday, June 20.
Bright Eyes have announced a show in Dublin’s National Stadium on Friday, June 20 as part of their current world tour.
It follows their most recent studio album Five Dice, All Threes, which came out in September and marked their 10th release as a band and their first record in four years.
Comprised of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis, and Nate Walcott, the record featured guest performances from the likes of Cat Power, The National’s Matt Berninger and The So So Glos’ Alex Orange Drink. It was self-produced and recorded at Mike and Conor's studio, ARC, in Omaha, Nebraska.
The album has been described as "a record of uncommon intensity and tenderness, communal exorcism and personal excavation," as well as embracing “the elusive quality that has made them so enduring and influential across generations and genres.”
Formed in 1995 in Omaha, Nebraska, Bright Eyes first separated in 2011 to pursue their solo careers, before reuniting in 2020 for their record Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was.
Throughout their three decades-long career, Bright Eyes gained critical and commercial success with their sensitive songwriting and constantly evolving sound. Tracks such as ‘First Day Of My Life’ and ‘Lover I Don’t Have To Love’ have earned the band a place in the canon of American indie.
Tickets for Bright Eyes’ National Studium show sell from €54.85 and go on sale this Friday, January 24 at 10am.
