Irish singer-songwriter Brigid Mae Power has announced her new covers EP, Burning Your Light will arrive on September 24 via Fire Records.
The EP will be Power's first release since her third original studio album Head Above the Water came out last June. The new release will feature six renditions of classic songs, led by her cover of 'Didn’t It Rain,' the title track of Jason Molina’s 2002 Songs: Ohia album. This is available for streaming now.
Power dips across artists and genres, covering songs by Bob Dylan, Townes Van Zandt, Aretha Franklin, and Patsy Cline, as well as the traditional folk song 'May Morning Dew'.
