Bring Down The Moon
The tracks on Bring Down The Moon have a bit more edge than your average pop
There is no doubting that Naimee Coleman has a sweet voice. Singing like an unusual combination of Andrea Corr and Dolores O’Riordan at her softest, the songs on this album fall very easily on the ear. I can’t help the feeling however, that has a lot more to do with skilled production than any great musical ability.
Bring Down The Moon was produced by Ian Stanley, a man with an impressive CV. An accomplished
musician, Stanley has also produced the likes of Lloyd Cole & the Commotions, Tori Amos and The Pretenders. His presence is heavily felt on this album.
The tracks on Bring Down The Moon have a bit more edge than your average pop, violins and piano give some of the songs a bit of a dark feel.
Without her producer, we’d probably never have heard of Naimee Coleman, but she’s young, and she’s learning…
