The singer announced YUNGBLUD this week while getting tattooed.
If you have not yet been pulled in by the purgative post-punk sound of Doncaster singer YUNGBLUD’s discography, the time is now - his third studio album, the self-titled YUNGBLUD, is set for release on September 2 of this year.
The record follows the artist’s 2020 Weird! and his recent single ‘MEMORIES’ featuring WILLOW, alongside a music video directed by Colin Tilley. Both ‘MEMORIES’ and the previously-released ‘80s goth-pop single ‘The Funeral’ are expected to be part of the singer’s self-titled album.
YUNGBLUD, aka Dominic Harrison, announced the news of his forthcoming album during a livestream, as the punk singer received a tattoo from artist Emily Malice on his ribcage. In a statement regarding the release posted to his Instagram, the British punker shared, “I went to a part of myself that I didn’t know was there. I studied it, bathed in the emotion, tried to solve the equation and come up with an answer (at least for now) from love to pain, adoration to abandonment, laughter to betrayal.”

The record release was teased earlier this year on The Late Late Show with James Corden, when YUNGBLUD shared that his next project would arrive, “around the autumn leaves this fall.” As for why he decided to self-titled his third album, YUNGBLUD simply answered on his social media, “Because nothing in my life has ever made more sense.”
In the meantime, Harrison is currently globetrotting on the European leg of his Life on Mars world tour, finishing in North America this September after the release of his album.
YUNGBLUD will be available for streaming on all platforms on September 2 via Locomotion/Geffen Records. The album is available for pre-order now.
