The American dates, both in Philadelphia, have been postponed to an undetermined later date.
Bruce Springsteen has announced the postponement of two of his upcoming tour dates after being "taken ill". The dates at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia have not yet been definitively rescheduled, though organisers are "working on" it.
The news of the postponement was shared on Twitter just hours before he was scheduled to perform on Wednesday night. "Due to Bruce Springsteen having been taken ill, his concerts with The E Street Band at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on August 16 and 18 have been postponed," read the statement on the behalf of his management.
They did issue a reassurance for disappointed fans, assuring them that they are "working on rescheduling the dates" and imploring fans to "please hold on to [their] tickets as they will be valid for the rescheduled shows." At the time of this story, no updates have been shared on when the dates will be rescheduled to.

Springsteen, 73, is months into his first major tour in six years. He began the tour in February, and in May visited the RDS Arena in Dublin to deliver a rousing performance. Hot Press did a live review of his performance, you can read it here.
However, this is not the first time he's been impacted by his health during the tour. He postponed three shows back in March due to an unspecified illness and had to pull out of attending the American Music Honors awards show after testing positive for COVID-19.
Springsteen is currently still slated to perform next week in Massachusetts.
