BTS dubbed the night a miracle after winning three awards at the ceremony celebrating American pop music.
Korean boyband BTS had a star night at the American Music Awards (AMAs) last night, taking home three awards, including Artist of the Year.
The group has become a global phenomenon over the last few years thanks to singles such as 'Butter' and 'Dynamite', and they continued their success by also winning the gongs for Favourite Pop Group or Duo and Favourite Pop Song.
"Four years ago, we had given this first-time-ever TV live performance at this AMAs stage for 'DNA.' We were so excited and nervous at the time," a member of BTS, RM, said when accepting Artist of the Year, dubbing the night a "miracle".
"It's been a long and amazing ride since then, but nobody could have ever bet on the odds of us standing here receiving this award."
Olivia Rodrigo took him the New Artist of the Year award despite being nominated for six other accolades, the most of any artist.
Other big winners on the night, tying with BTS for three awards, included Ed Sheeran, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion.

Taylor Swift broke her record for most AMAs wins and another of her's for most wins of the Favourite Female Artist award when she took home the gong last night for the seventh time.
