The Mardi Gras-flavoured event will be headlined by Irish funk group Stomptown Brass.
Bulmers Carnival Night returns next Thursday, July 18, as part of the Live at Leopardstown series. Stomptown Brass are set to perform on the night, as the Dublin racecourse transforms into a New Orleans-inspired carnival.
Stomptown Brass has emerged as one of the most unique acts in Ireland, performing their blend of funk and blues with a raucous cacophony of powerful driving rhythms. Making the most of their impressive line-up (two drummers, two trombones, two trumpets, one saxophone and one big dirty tuba), Stomptown Brass are an original, supercharged, energy driven band, taking the brass tradition and completely turning it on its head.
During the Mardi Gras-flavoured evening, Stomptown Brass play 'flash mob' style in between races, alongside Rio carnival characters walking amongst the crowds and street theatre performances featuring Horrid Helga’s Victorian Circus.
Still to play at Bulmers Live at Leopardstown are Something Happens (July 25), with UK chart-topping legends Bay City Rollers (August 8) and All Saints (August 15).
