The fact that it was recorded in Austin, Texas with a bunch of local musicians explains the steel guitars and general Americana feel. Though not quite as impassioned or intense as say, ‘July’, it shows a more relaxed side to Mundy – amazing what happens after you go out drinking with Lucinda Williams innit?
