Much like anyone with a pair of eyes and access to a computer, I’d noticed the staggering amount of brilliant Irish-produced music videos of late, but I’ll admit it took me a while to realise that a great portion of them were coming from the same man. Brendan Canty of Cork-based production company Feel Good Lost Films has already made videos for Daithí, Mark Geary, Sacred Animals, Owensie, J2DR, Hush War Cry, Moths and Jape, as well as international beatmakers like Sun Glitters (Luxembourg), Boy 8-Bit (UK), Clams Casino (US), Wintercoats (Canada), Slow Magic (US), Panda Bear (US) and Broken Social Scene (Canada). This Keep Shelly In Athens remix of ABADABAD’s ‘California Birds’ is the newest addition to Canty’s portfolio and, starring the impossibly adorable Lola Grainger, daughter of RedFM DJ Stephen, it’s a perfect example of Feel Good Lost Films’ vibrant, emotive and effortlessly professional signature style.
