Grammy-winning DJ Calvin Harris is "cash king" of the electronic music world for the fifth year in a row.
According to a list published by Forbes of 2017's highest-paid DJs worldwide, Calvin Harris brought in $48.5 million (€41.3 million) from June 2016 to June 2017.
The massive income is attributed to the Scottish EDM producer's six-figure fees to perform in Las Vegas this year, and even larger bills for music festivals. Harris recently dropped his star-studdedFunk Wav Bounces Vol. 1, which reached No. 2 on Ireland's charts.
In second place also for the fifth consecutive year is Dutch act Tiësto, with a comparably meagre $39 million in earnings. The Chainsmokers made their debut on the list at number 3, boasting $38 million and knocking David Guetta from his 2016 slot.

Netherlands act Marshmello, who wears a cylindrical white helmet during performances, also fell for the first time into the number 8 slot, earning $21 million this year. The act has only been around two-and-a-half years, and recently previewed a single co-written with singer Demi Lovato.
