Camille O'Sullivan and Joshua Burnside's performances for Van Morrison's 75th birthday celebration are going live tonight.
Following spectacular performances for 'Rave On, Van Morrison' last night, we're bringing you another special evening of back-to-back Van covers – with Camille O'Sullivan performing 'Avalon Of The Heart', followed by Joshua Burnside performing 'You Don't Pull No Punches, But You Don't Push The River'.
Over the course of the YouTube event, celebrating Van Morrison's 75th birthday, you can expect even more renditions of his remarkable songs from some of the most iconic names in the country – including President Michael D. Higgins with Bill Whelan, Hozier, Sinéad O'Connor, Bob Geldof, Glen Hansard and Damien Rice, to name just a few.
Award-winning singer Camille O'Sullivan has built up an international reputation with her stunning performances at Sydney Opera House and London's Royal Festival Hall, as well as a show-stealing appearance on Later... with Jools Holland. After touring Australia, New Zealand, Edinburgh and London, Camille Sings Cave, a love letter to the music of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, was released as a live album in 2019.
Since experimental folk artist Joshua Burnside released his award-winning debut album Ephrata in 2017, he has used post-punk and electronic recording methods to push the boundaries of the genre. His highly anticipated sophomore album, Into The Depths Of Hell, is out on September 4.
Camille O'Sullivan's performance of 'Avalon Of The Heart' (7pm Irish Standard Time) and Joshua Burnside's performance of 'You Don't Pull No Punches, But You Don't Push The River' (8pm) premiere tonight, August 19, on the Hot Press YouTube channel.
