The Marvel blockbuster hits the screens in under a week
It’s nearly upon us... March 26 sees the release of the highly anticipated Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which has been teasing us with brilliant trailers and incredible artwork for months now.
It’s set to be an important film for Marvel fans, as previously, it was announced that Winter Soldier will directly affect The Avengers: Age Of Ultron and feature ramifications that will be felt throughout the Marvel universe.
After the cataclysmic events in New York in Avengers Assemble, Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier finds Steve Rogers, aka Captain America (Chris Evans), living quietly in Washington, D.C. and trying to adjust to the modern world. But when a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague is attacked, Steve becomes embroiled in a "web of intrigue" that threatens to put the world at risk. Joining forces with the Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Captain America struggles to expose the ever-widening conspiracy while fighting assassins sent to silence him at every turn. Though Captain America and the Black Widow enlist the help of a new ally, the Falcon, they soon find themselves up against an unexpected and formidable enemy — the Winter Soldier.
As if the film doesn’t sound exciting enough, details have emerged about Marvel’s trademark mid- and post-credit sequences, which are sure to be fantastic. Joss Whedon is said to have directed one, which is rumoured to introduce fans to characters from his upcoming Avengers sequel: Baron Von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann) and his two special prisoners, Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen). Those little teases are working their magic on us – we can’t wait!
