The musician performed on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve - which broadcasts the world-famous crystal ball drop in Manhattan each year.
American rapper Cardi B has revealed she was "fighting for her life" before her performance at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in Miami's Fontainbleau Hotel.
The New York native shared a video to her Instagram story before the perfomance, saying that she had been suffering from illness.
"I am fighting for my life right now," she said. I am so sick and I don’t understand why because when I was in New York I was going out in sweaters, toes out, everything. I was good.
"Soon as I landed in Miami bro… I’ve been telling people I am allergic to Miami. I’m allergic to Florida. It doesn’t even make no sense. Like, as soon as I landed four hours later, I felt a little cough, my chest started getting tight.
"Well, I’ve been fighting for three days and I have a huge performance later," she added. "Huge performance, I get that it’s New Year’s but I have this huge performance. And I’m fighting, fighting."

Joining Cardi B on the bill was fellow rapper and regular collaborator Megan Thee Stallion, who took to the stage in New York City.
Ellie Goulding, Renee Rapp, Janelle Monae and 30 Seconds To Mars were also amongst those performing on the annual broadcast - which depicts the countdown and drop of the crystal ball in Times Square each year.
