For the first time in five years, Dan Snaith announces tour dates and shares new music.
Today Aiken Promotions & U:MACK announced that Dan Snaith, more commonly known as Caribou, will play Iveagh Gardens Dublin on July 11th, 2020. The date is part of a European and North American tour, Caribou's first since his record Our Love. Tickets for the Iveagh Gardens date go on sale this Friday, October 11th from Ticketmaster.
Additionally, today Caribou has shared a new track entitled 'Home'. The track is Snaith’s first new music in five years since the release of Our Love - his universally adored sixth album which received critical acclaim. The album also just made it on to Pitchfork's top 200 albums of the decade list. Hear the new track here.
Speaking of the track Snaith commented, "I'm always listening to lots of music and sometimes a loop just jumps out at me - it's too perfect. That's how it was with Gloria Barnes' 'Home' - I kept returning to it, meaning to do something with it but not knowing what. Sometimes making music feels like a process I'm in charge of ... but there other times, when things just present themselves and my job is to follow their lead. It wasn't until the circumstances of someone close to me mirrored the refrain of the original song that the track all came together."
