The veteran DJ and acid-house pioneer will headline the festival's 15th Birthday celebration.
One of the world's most legendary pioneering DJs, Carl Cox, is returning to Ireland to headline Life Festival 20, which takes place between May 22nd and 24th of 2020, and will be hosted at the historic grounds of Belvedere House. One of the most splendid festival sites in the country, the site is already home to eco-friendly camping facilities, workshops, tasty food stalls, chill-out areas, and funfairs.
In his early career, Cox made a name for himself at the forefront of the British rave scene playing iconic clubs like The Hacienda, Heaven, and the Eclipse. After receiving recognition as one of the pioneers of acid-house, Cox began a fifteen-year residency in Ibiza, where he carved out his distinctive, unforgettable legacy.
Speaking on the festival, Life 20's Martin Smyth had to say, 'Marking our 15th year, we're very proud to announce the legendary CARL COX will headline Life 20. He is one of the biggest DJs in the world so it's only fitting that he finally makes his Life Festival debut! A musical ambassador and a veteran of acid house, a champion of techno, a dance music pioneer, label owner, King of Ibiza –you name it, Carl's been there and done it, never losing sight of his passions –playing music, breaking tunes and celebrating life.'
